please do not force an lgbt label onto anne frank. she died before she had the chance to explore her sexuality and if you need to think of her as lgbt to have empathy for her you need to reconsider how you think of holocaust victims. please do not vilify her father, a man who lost his entire family in the holocaust, for censoring the parts in anne’s diary where she expresses attraction for women. it was 1947. jewish girls were already seen as hypersexual. he was protecting her legacy as best he could, and you have no right to call him a villain for wanting what was period-typical best for his late daughter.

if a person of color is telling you you that you’re being racist you need to recognize it and apologize. if a gay/bisexual person is telling you that you’re being homophobic/biphobic you need to recognize it and apologize. if a transgender person is telling you that you’re being transphobic, recognize it and apologize. if a woman is telling you you’re being sexist, recognize it and apologize. the line is not yours to be drawn.

1) This happened in the UK. Yes all countries have bad police and racism but not to the same scale as the USA. British police do not carry guns (which can be used to hurt, kill, intimidate and make police more powerful). British police are trained differently with more emphasis on protecting people and helping the community than US police which are not legally required to protect people. As a result, last year US police killed 933 citizens and UK police killed 3. Also the UK doesnโ€™t have an industrial prison complex. US cops want to arrest people because that gets money from their forced labour. US incaceration rates =737 per 100,000 people (highest in world). UK incaceration rate = 112 per 100,000.

2) This was done before the news of George Floydโ€™s murder became widespread. It was NOT done in response to it as it was not known at the time. Especially as this was the UK. In fact it was done in response to Covid and products were given to many types of workers other than police.

3) Lush run an anti undercover cop campaign. Including ads and window displays.

i’ll bet everything i have that NOBODY on tumblr actually cares about punk rock, or what it’s about. you all only care about it because it’s trendy and fashionable. you think if you put on a flannel skirt and platform boots, you’re punk rock. and the people who reblog your selfies think thin people in edgy clothes is punk rock. that’s NOT what it’s about! punk rock is not limited to chokers and kurt cobain! punk rock is about sticking it to the man, refusing to conform to a society that wants to turn you into a corporate slave to profit off of you as a human! THEY DON’T EVEN SEE YOU AS HUMAN! punk rock is about getting PISSED OFF and letting everyone KNOW you’re pissed off, and STICKING IT TO THE MAN!!!!! and over the years it’s just been reduced to a fashion trend and a handful of half-assed songs because the genre is ‘trendy!’
